Mirror Whole trueSpace4.3 plug.
Here's one answer to Boolean ops. While it's not as useful as a pure Boolean, it
works when a Boolean won't. If you have half an object, and want a complete one, just
select the object, turn on the Mirror Whole extension, point at the connecting face, and click.
Now you have a whole, new object. When you're done, click on the extension to
turn it off. Here is a set of before and after shots to see what I mean.

Installation.
There is no installation program. Just
download the file to your system, and copy it to your tsx directory. There are
two versions available for download. One is compressed with Win98, and one is
uncompressed since some older unzips don't seem to be able to unzip these
files. Either way, it's small (around 60k uncompressed).
Options.
Right clicking on the extension button
brings up the about/options box. The first option is for leaving the new points
selected when the tool is turned off. Next is delete the first object. This
keeps you from leaving extras around if you don't want them. Third is the
directory indicating where to save the temp files, so you can revert back
later. These files are cleaned when the tool is turned off. Finally, a button
to make all objects created by the extension go away,
and restore to the original one. (Undo with extreme prejudice!) You can still
retrieve the original object up until the tool is turned off. This makes it
handy for doing a couple of other things, like smoothing, to see how things are
progressing, and then reverting back to the original to continue modeling.
System Requirements.
This software is developed for trueSpace 4.3.
Misc.
Quirks? Yup, it's got em, and until you get used to them, or
I find and fix them, save your scene first. The main thing to watch for is the famous
disappearing object! This has happened once during testing, but I havn't been
able to reproduce it. Since it happens in the extension, undo won't recover the object. The
only way to get it back is to reload the scene. Bugs? Well, maybe. This is my
"Hello World!" extension, although, a little more useful than a 3D "Hello World!".
If you find a bug, please send an email to tsxbug@datalync.com
describing the bug and what you did to produce it. This will better allow me to
place the blame firmly at your feet, and possibly fix the bug. If you just want
to send a comment about the software, please send email to tsxcomment@datalync.com.
